Each month, WABA hosts a
luncheon meeting. This is a time for networking, and
learning. A presentation is given each month, highlighting a
business within the association. The speakers’ are allotted
approximately 20 minutes to speak on behalf of their
company. Members are invited to suggest topics and/or
meeting locations for the year.
Membership to WABA allows many benefits. Each member
receives and is included in an annual Membership Directory
with contact information for over 150 members and their
respective business. Members also receive a monthly
newsletter with meeting information, special events going
on, donations given by WABA, and a monthly business profile
with special offers. WABA is a fantastic opportunity for
free advertising. Collectively, WABA has a direct voice with
local government. This allows members to express their
opinions freely in order to help make our local area a
better place to live. Members have access to our website,
www.waba-cols.com,
with many gateways to local business information and news.
Also, small businesses have an opportunity to obtain health,
life, and disability insurance.
Any business, association, individual, school, church,
institution, or corporation may become a WABA member and
will receive one voice and one vote. An employee of a WABA
member may join as an “associate” and will receive an
additional voice and vote. For the purpose of dues
assessment, two part-time employees equal one full-time
employee.
